Who is collecting: McGovern Solutions Pty Ltd (ABN 83 632 212 849), operator of the Zero Political Funding Pledge — privacy@zeropoliticalfunding.com.au.
What and why: We collect the names of the directors of your declared group for one purpose only: screening your group against the published AEC Transparency Register, a public record of political donation disclosures. Screening is not possible without them; if they are not provided, we cannot assess your application.
How they are used: Names are matched against AEC records using deterministic matching. Where a match needs disambiguation, the declared names may be processed by an AI service provided by Anthropic, located in the United States. Every certification decision is made by a person — no decision about your application is made solely by a computer program. Parts of our application infrastructure (Netlify) also operate in the United States; our database is hosted in Sydney.
What happens to them: Director names are never published and are not disclosed to anyone other than the service providers above. If your application is declined, they are purged within 12 months, and only a minimal decision record (without director names) is kept.
Your rights: You can request access to or correction of this information, or make a complaint, as set out in our Privacy Policy, which also explains how to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. This collection is governed by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
